Festive Tasks: Door 13 – Holiday Shopping

Task 3: Do you love it or hate it? Play “Wheel Decide” to see if you want to do the choice that the wheel gives you, or spend eight hours at the mall on Christmas Eve. Let us know what you got, and what you chose!

Are you kidding me? The mall, every single time. To give credit to the dental surgeon who did perform the one root canal operation I experienced in my life, he made it an extremely painless and easy experience compared to what it could have been; I don’t remember sharp and protracted pain or anything of the sort. But even under normal circumstances, there are few experiences I detest as thoroughly as dentist appointments, so this one really is a “no competition” scenario.

And I have actually done the “Christmas time” mall thing more than once — maybe not quite eight hours, but not that much less, either — because there have been years in my life when I just didn’t have time to do my holiday shopping until the very last moment. So I know I’d be exhausted by the time I got home and in not much of a mood to make a night of it, but I would also very likely come home with a sense of accomplishment, looking at the gifts I had found for my loved ones, which would have made the effort well worth my while. And not all the knowledge that I’m doing the right thing for my health can compete with that when it comes to dentist appointments.
