An Untraditional Christmas Tradition: A Nighttime Stroll Through My Neighborhood

24 Festive Tasks: Door 21 – Christmas, Bonus Task #1:

Christine PNW’s untraditional family tradition for Christmas dinner is to gather around the fondue pot with her husband and children after spending the entire day in her pajamas and watching movies, playing video games or reading.  Do you have any “untraditional” traditions for the day?  Post a short text or a picture to tell your fellow players about them!

I’m not sure whether this is really such an “untraditional” thing, but one thing I like to do — either on Christmas Eve or, like this year, on the evening of Christmas Day, is to take a walk in our neighborhood and enjoy the Christmas decorations put up in windows and near doors and balconies, as well as in the windows of the small neighborhood shops. They’re not as large and ostentatious as those that can be seen elsewhere, but there’s a homely quality about them that I truly love.
